Men also need paid leave to care for their newborn baby

"Not only women but also men should be on paid leave to care for the newborn baby and be with the family at this important stage."

In an interview with CBS News earlier, Ohanyan noted that he and supporters had begun collecting signatures to bring this initiative to Congress.

"Everyone deserves to have a good job and a close family relationship; no father should be forced to work full time, subordinating the family to such an important stage as the birth of a new baby. throughout life.

"Before Olympia was born, I had never really thought about foster care, and to be honest, it wasn't my idea of paying fathers on Reddit," Ohanyan confessed to the New York Times, adding that everything changed when the first baby was born, after birth and postpartum complications in a woman; "Serena has been battling for life and death for days with pulmonary embolism. When we came home with our newborn baby, she had an opening in her abdomen that had to be changed daily. He was on medication and couldn't walk, "Ohanyan said, admitting that nothing in those hours, in those days, could divert his attention from his wife and child. "I've heard the same thing from many other people, ordinary Americans, who have confessed that being with your family after the birth of a baby changes your whole life. Because when you go back to the office, you work more focused, more productive, because you have a new purpose in your life. "

At the same time, a successful businessman insists that many avoid spending time with their family because of the stereotype that men should make money, and women should be involved in household affairs.
