She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School. Her talent for vocals was revealed by a dance teacher.

Beyoncé's first victory

As a child, she was very reserved and shy. But despite this, at the age of six, she won a school talent contest. She sang John Lennon’s famous song “Imagine” and amazed everyone with her performance. After that, she began to actively participate in many music competitions.

In 1990 she moved to Parker Elementary School and also attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts before moving on to the Alief Elsik High School. In 1990, Beyoncé took part in a casting for a teenage pop group. As a result, she and the other five girls were selected and combined into a project called Girls Tyme. According to some reports, the initiator of the creation of the group was the father of Beyoncé. The group took part in different contests. The group also participated in the famous American television talent show “Star Search”, but they did not win. According to Beyonce the reason was the unsuccessful song. After that Beyonce's father decided to get involved in group affairs. In the group remained four members. Beyoncé's father renamed the group's name to Destiny’s Child. In 1997, they were able to enter into a contract with the recording studio Columbia Records. In 1998, Destiny’s Child released their debut self-titled album Destiny’s Child. As a result, these songs made the group members mega-popular. Two members left the group, because they had some financial problems with manager of group. They accused Father Beyoncé of unfairly sharing income. According to them, he gave most of the fees to Beyoncé and her friend Kelly. The real financial frauds of Father Beyonce became known much later, in 2011, when she dismissed him from the position of manager and said that for a long time he was taking significant amounts of her fees.

As a result, three participants remain in the group. The new group released several albums: “Survivor” of 2001, “8 Days of Christmas”.
