Jennifer Lopez was born on July 24, 1969 in the Bronx (New York) in a Puerto Rican family. Her parents are Guadalupe Rodríguez and David Lopez. Her mother was a housewife and raised children, and her father worked in a computer company. Jennifer's family lived quite modestly. They lived in a small apartment. Jennifer's mother raised the girls quite strictly. Jennifer spent her childhood in one of the streets that got a notoriety - Black Rock Avenue. Since childhood, Lopez was engaged in dancing and choreography. She has two sisters, one of whom is a journalist. Lopez received a secondary education at a Catholic school for girls. Jennifer also had successes in sports: she did gymnastics, performed at national running competitions and was a member of the school softball team. After graduation, Jennifer realized that she wants to become an actress but the family did not approve this decision. Then she decided to move from them immediately to Manhattan and begin to search for the road to Hollywood.

Her first role

While studying in high school, she first played a role in the film ''My Little Girl''. But this film did not become very successful. After this film, she realized that she wants to become an actress.

Jennifer's mother wanted her daughter to become a lawyer. She entered law college, leaving it after a semester of study. The girl tried to explain to her parents that she dreams of becoming an actress, but her parents thought it was stupid. Then she left home to find a way to become famous. At first she began to dance in nightclubs, starred in videos and commercials. Then she began working with celebrities, for example, with Janet Jackson and with her future husband Mark Anthony. Jennifer began her career in show business as a dancer in the comedy television show ''In Living Color'', then starred in several television series, including South Central, Second Chances and Hotel Malibu. In 1993, the actress received her first invitation to the movie ''Lost in the Wild''. Her debut in the big movie was a small role in the film "My Family" in 1995. For the role of young Maria, she even received the first nomination. However, this film was followed by unsuccessful work, such as Money Train (1995), Jack and Blood and Wine (1996). But 1997 unexpectedly turned out to be very successful for the actress. The first success for the actress was the picture "Selena". For this role, she had to go through a tiring casting. It was the work on Selena that inspired Jennifer to do music professionally. For this role, she received the first nomination for the Golden Globe. Career Lopez rapidly went up, and her work was a success. A year later, for the role of Karen in the crime drama "Out of Sight" (1998), the actress was again nominated for a prestigious film award. In this film, she played with eminent actor George Clooney and her fee was $ 1 million. With the development of a musical career, Jennifer began acting in lyrical comedies. But in her filmography there is a place for dramatic paintings, like The Eyes of an Angel, Unfinished Life, and many others. Of the most striking works, it should be noted the artist’s tandem with Richard Gere in the melodrama ''Shall We Dance?'', as well as the main role in the fantastic thriller ''The Cell''. The audience really liked the comedy "Monster in Law", where the heroine Lopez has to share the love of one man with his mother. Soon she appeared in the drama ''Bordertown’', the comedy ''What to Expect When You're Expecting'', the crime thriller ''Parker'', where Jason Statham acted as her partner. In 2015, the series Shades of Blue was released, where Jennifer played a major role. At the end of 2018, Jennifer pleased the audience with the appearance in the comedy melodrama "Start Again", in which she played the main role.

Due to excessive vagaries, Lopez canceled her performance in India at the opening of the Premier Cricket League. The organizers simply refused to comply with her excessive requirements. Lopez wanted a private jet, luxury rooms for her entire considerable team, paid by the organizers of the concert. As a result, the organizers of the show replaced her with rap artist Pitbull.
