Renowned Italian Renaissance scholar, whose line of studies includes inventions, painting, sculpture, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astrology, botany, writing, history and cartography. He has been repeatedly called the father of archeology, engineering, and architecture, and is considered one of the greatest painters of all time. He is sometimes credited with the inventions of the balloon, helicopter, and tank, and he was the first to characterize the humanitarian ideal of the Renaissance.
